SuperQuilt Three Layer 0.15 Roof System
Complete Insulation Package to achieve 0.15 U-value
SuperQuilt Three Layer 0.15 Roof System
The ultimate kit to achieve a 0.15 U-value for Pitched and Flat Roofs! Achieve building regulations, whilst eradicating the requirement for PIR Insulation. This multifoil insulation system will save on cost, space & installation time – No more Cutting Celotex or Kingspan boards!
This package includes three layers of YBS SuperQuilt. SuperQuilt is the UK’s thermally highest performing multifoil, and is independently certified by both BDA & BBA. When SuperQuilt is fully taped and sealed with Thermaseal Foil Joining Tape, it will also work as a high performing Vapour Control Layer, eliminating condensation.
Our Triple Layer System is a proven space saver, and can be installed in shallow rafters. You can install our complete Insulation Package to achieve 0.15 U-value in just 100mm deep Rafters and Joists!
Why 0.15 U-value?
Achieving a U-value of 0.15 is a common target if the project is an extension or refurbishment, for both Pitched and Flat Roofs.
Want to look at other methods to hit 0.15? View our Flat Roof Guide HERE. View our Pitched Roof Guide HERE.
Multifoil Insulation’s 3 Layer Kit Consists of the following;
- SuperQuilt 1.2m x 10m (Triple Layer)
- Adequate Thermaseal Foil Joining Tape
- Free Heavy Duty Staple Gun & 5,000 Staples (24m² or MORE)
SuperQuilt Triple Layer 0.15 Roof System is accessible on our Online U-value Calculator. Our Free and Instant calculator will give you results in just 60 seconds! You are then able to pass the document onto building control for acceptance.
Our recommended method is to recess one layer of SuperQuilt between the rafters or joists. You can then install the two alternate layers either above or below joists. To gain the optimum U-value, it is essential to have airgaps above and below the products, allowing the multifoils to properly expand and reflect.
Please note, the coverages are based on the physical roll dimensions – You may consider sizing up for any overlaps & recesses.

What does SuperQuilt consist of?
SuperQuilt consists of 19 itch-free layers including True Aluminium Foils as the Outer and Inner layer. The other 17 layers consists of recycled waddings, PE Foams, and other reflective foils.
Is SuperQuilt harmful?
SuperQuilt contains no harmful fibres and does not release any toxic gasses when cut or installed. When installing SuperQuilt, there is no requirement for any masks, PPE or gloves.
What thickness is SuperQuilt?
SuperQuilt is available in just one thickness, which is 40mm at a relaxed thickness and will compress down to 7mm.
Do SuperQuilt require airgaps?
To gain the best thermal performance, we recommend a minimum cavity/batten of 25mm both sides of the insulation. This is to allow the product to expand and reflect. If a cavity is removed, the performance would reduce by approx 20%.
Is SuperQuilt fireproof?
SuperQuilt has a Class E Euro Fire Classification Certificate. SuperQuilt is not fully fire-proof, however the true aluminium outer layers are flame proof, meaning if a naked flame touches the product, it will smoulder as opposed to spreading.
What’s the difference between SuperQuilt and SuperFoil?
SuperQuilt is a premium product with true aluminium foils as the outer layers, compared to SuperFoil’s range which has metalized foils which provides a lower Fire Classification Grade (Fail) SuperQuilt is also fully certified, and UK manufactured compared to SuperFoil.
