True Aluminium Foil Tape

We advise customers to use Thermaseal Foil Joining Tape alongside our multifoil insulation range unless otherwise advised for a specific application.

Why use Thermaseal Foil Joining Tape?

  • It is 75mm x 50m. The width of the roll ensures that you do not have the unwanted passage of air and moisture. Instead, it means that you can cover the joints easily, as it overlaps on each layer.
  • This foil used on the outer layer is true aluminium foil, as opposed to other lookalike foil tapes. These are often made from Metalized Plastics, which are not as reflective.
  • The adhesive on the Tape is also high tack. It has been designed to last the lifetime of the application (when fixed to a clean and dry surface).

How many rolls will you need?

In terms of what you will need – we advise our customers to purchase one roll of Tape – for every 30 square meters worth of Multifoil Insulation. As a general rule of thumb, we advise 1 Roll of Foil Joining Tape for every 2 Rolls of Insulation.

Is ThermaSeal Tape easy to remove?

No, it would be difficult to separate the Multifoil insulation from the tape once it’s attached.

Will ThermaSeal Tape need to be replaced?

No ThermaSeal Tape will not need to be replaced once attached to Multifoil Insulation. ThermaSeal Foil Tape has a high tack adhesive that will last the lifetime of the application when installed on a dry, clean surface.
